de beëdigd vertaler

De vertaler van A & E Translations die de immigratiedocumenten verzorgt staat sinds 24 maart 1988 geregistreerd als beëdigd vertaler voor de Engelse taal bij de Arrondissementsrechtbank te Groningen.

De beëdiging vond plaats op basis van een voltooide universitaire studie in de Engelse Taal- en Letterkunde.

De vertaler heeft onder ede verklaard dat hij zijn plichten als vertaler met nauwgezetheid zal vervullen.

the sworn translator

The translator of A & E Translations who takes care of the immigration documents has been registered as a sworn translator for the English language at the Groningen District Court since March 24th 1988.

The administration of the oath took place on the basis of a completed academic study of English language and literature.

The translator has declared on oath that he will fulfil his obligations as a translator with accuracy.

• De vertaler, aangesloten bij het NGTV, stelt bij iedere opdracht zijn gehele kennis en bekwaamheid in dienst van zijn opdrachtgever, in het bewustzijn van de verantwoordelijkheid die de taak van vertaler hem oplegt.
• Hij neemt slechts opdrachten aan waartoe hij de vereiste kennis bezit.
• Hij dekt de door hem afgeleverde vertaling met zijn naam en draagt er dus de hele verantwoordelijkheid voor.
• Hij geeft slechts door hemzelf vervaardigde vertalingen voor de zijne uit.
• Hij neemt strikte geheimhouding in acht ten aanzien van wat in en door uitoefening van zijn functie te zijner kennis komt.
• Hij onthoudt er zich van, zichzelf of derden te bevoordelen door gebruik te maken van wat in en door de uitoefening van zijn functie te zijner kennis komt.
• Hij houdt zich verre van iedere onwaardige vorm van reclame en concurrentie.

• In each commission, the translator, associated with the NGTV and aware of the responsibility inherent in the translator's work, shall put his full knowledge and expertise at the disposal of his principal.
• He shall only accept commissions for which he has the required knowledge.
• He shall vouch with his name for the translation supplied by him and shall therefore be fully accountable for it.
• He shall only call translations his own when they have been made by himself.
• He shall observe strict confidentiality with regard to anything that has come to his knowledge in the course of performing his duties.
• He shall refrain from using for his own or for a third party's advantage anything that has come to his knowledge in the course of performing his duties.
• He shall keep well away from any undignified form of advertisement and competition.

legalisatie- of apostille-stempel?

Nadat de documenten door de beëdigde vertaler zijn vertaald, dienen de documenten van een legalisatie- of apostillestempel te worden voorzien. Dit geschiedt bij de centrale balie van de Arrondissementsrechtbank te Groningen.

Voor immigratielanden als Canada en Nieuw Zeeland is een legalisatiestempel vereist.

legalisation- or apostille stamp?

After the documents have been translated by the sworn translator, the documents have to be provided with a legalisation- or apostille stamp. This is done at the central desk of the Groningen District Court.

For immigration countries such as Canada and New Zealand, a legalisation stamp is required.
