Fusie Protestantse Kerken bekrachtigd

De synodevoorzitters van de Nederlands Hervormde Kerk, de Gereformeerde Kerken in Nederland en de Evangelisch-Luterse Kerk hebben vrijdag in Doorn de notariële akte van vereniging ondertekend. Daarmee is de fusie van de dire protestantse kerken een feit. De Nieuwe Protestantse Kerk in Nederland (PKN) telt 2,5 miljoen leden.

The synod presidents of the Dutch Reformed Church, the Calvinist Reformed Netherlands Church and the Evangelic-Lutherian Church have signed the notarial deed of association on Friday. This has finalized the merger of the three Protestant Churches. The new Netherlands Protestant Church (PKN) has a membership of 2.5 million.
