Beatrix jubileert

Het 25-jarig regeringsjubileum van koningin Beatrix wordt feestelijk en inhoudelijk gevierd, met zoveel mogelijk burgers. Dit is donderdag bekend gemaakt door Yvonne Timmerman-Buck, voorzitter van de stichting Nationaal Comité Zilveren Regeringsjubileum koningin Beatrix.
De festiviteiten beginnen op 29 april in Amsterdam, waar koningin Beatrix 25 jaar geleden te midden van heftige rellen werd ingehuldigd. Op de Dam treden het Radio Philharmonisch Orkest en het Nationaal Ballet op. De kunstenaar Marc Mulders maakt een gebrandschilderd glas-in-lood raam van de Nieuwe Kerk, dat als aandenken aan het jubileum wordt aangeboden.
Op 30 april vindt 's ochtends in Den Haag in de Ridderzaal een Verenigde Vergadering van de Staten-Generaal plaats, waarbij het aantal officiële genodigden beperkt is. De 225 Kamerleden krijgen allen een 25-jarige als partner toegewezen, afkomstig uit de kleinere gemeenten.
Uit grotere gemeenten worden bewoners op hun maatschappelijke betrokkenheid geselecteerd. De traditionele viering van Koninginnedag vindt 's middags plaats in Scheveningen. De dag wordt afgesloten met een feestavond in een grote tent op het Malieveld.
Koningin Beatrix bezoekt in het kader van haar jubileum alle twaalf provincies, alsmede de Nederlandse Antillen en Aruba. Het jaar wordt in december afgesloten met een regeringsdiner voor alle oud-ministers sinds 1980 en een multireligieuze bijeenkomst in de Utrechtse Dom. De kosten van het jubileumjaar zijn begroot op 9,5 miljoen euro.

Beatrix Celebrates Anniversary

Queen Beatrix' 25 th anniversary as the reigning monarch will be celebrated with festive and substantive functions. This was announced on Thursday by Yvonne Timmerman-Buck, who chairs the foundation Queen Beatrix' Silver Jubilee National Committee.
On April 29, the festivities will start in Amsterdam , where Beatrix was inaugurated 25 years ago amid serious rioting. On Dam Square, there will be a performance by the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra as the National Ballet. The artist Marc Mulders will make a stained-glass window for the Nieuwe Kerk, which will be presented as a memento of the Jubilee.
In the morning of April 30, there will be a Joint Assembly of the Chambers of Parliament in the Ridderzaal in The Hague , for which the number of official invitations will be limited. The 225 Members of Parliament and Senators will each be allotted a 25-year-old partner, from the smaller municipalities.
Citizens from the larger municipalities will be selected on the basis of their community spirit. The traditional celebration of Koninginnedag [i.e. April 30] will take place in Scheveningen in the afternoon. The day will be concluded with a party night in a large tent on Malieveld.
In the context of her Jubilee, Queen Beatrix will visit each of the twelve provinces, as well as the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba. The year will be concluded in December by a State dinner, for all former Ministers since 1980 and a multi-religious gathering in Dom Church in Utrecht . The costs of the Jubilee year have been estimated at 9.5 million euros.
